Your Data, Your Control
On this webpage we describe how non-personal data is generated by connected components - and if applicable - corresponding apps on your connected vehicle. The non-personal data is processed for the legitimate purpose of providing you with important functionality of your vehicle and its connected components.
We aim to make the non-personal data generated by your vehicle more accessible and usable to you. In this context, we are committed to promoting data availability and access to the data generated by you and the connected components.
Type of data concerned
You can find additional details about the data generated by the connected components of your vehicle in this table. We are dependent on our suppliers of the connected components and the data generated. The information in the table may be incomplete, and may be modified, added to, or supplemented as suppliers provide us with information about the data generated by the connected components of the rented vehicle during your ride. The table will be updated accordingly when we receive the information.
Your Data: How to Access and Share It
At Hely, you have control over your data. This is how you can request a copy of the data collected during your rides:
- Fill out the form on the Hely website.
- You’ll receive an e-mail to confirm the application. Please use the email address linked to your account, so we can use it to verify your identity.
- After checking the credentials you’ll receive the data via a zip-file with all your data in a JSON format via a secure environment with a temporary link.
Requesting Personal Data
Important for Personal Data: If the data you're asking us to share contains personal data (meaning it can identify someone), and you're not the person the data is about, we can only share it if there's a valid legal reason under GDPR (the main EU privacy law). When you make such a request, you must clearly state your legal reason (like "consent" or "legitimate interest")
Sharing Your Data with a Third Party
You can simply forward the zip-file you receive from us to the party you wish to share the data with. You can also request us to forward the data directly in the request form. In that case we will try to contact that party directly.
