Chances are you are used to starting a car with a key or a start button. The Volkswagen ID.3 works a little differently. It has no key and no start button. Uhh, so how does this work? Quite simple, actually. You open the car via the Hely app. Once you're in, press down the brakes and turn the gear selector away from you to put it in "D" or "B," or toward you to put it in "R." WHILE YOU'RE ON THE WAY

So the car has no key with which to (un)lock it. Parking somewhere while you're on the road? You can lock the car via the Hely app. Just click on the 'unlock' or the 'lock' button and you're done! Always check to make sure the car is indeed locked before you walk away.
